Our Safeguarding Statement of Intent
Members of the church community have an obligation to ensure the safety of children and vulnerable adults in each and every activity.
The church undertakes to operate its policy and procedures in relation to the protection of children and vulnerable adults.
The church undertakes to comply with statutory requirements in relation to selecting and appointing individuals to undertake paid or voluntary work.
The church undertakes to provide a system whereby those who care for children, young people and vulnerable adults are trained and supported.
The church undertakes to recognise situations where children and young people and vulnerable adults could potentially suffer harm during the course of church activities.
The church undertakes to challenge any misuse of authority by an individual.
The church undertakes to listen to children and vulnerable adults and to respond sensitively and in line with its policy and guidelines.
The church undertakes to respond immediately when a suspicion of abuse is drawn to its attention, and to co-operate with the Local Authority or the Police if an investigation is launched. It also undertakes to share information responsibly to facilitate an effective investigation.
The church undertakes to provide pastoral care to those who suffer abuse or direct them to pastoral care. The church undertakes to provide pastoral care for offenders or suspected offenders, or to refer them to pastoral care.
The church undertakes to work with the Panel’s Training and Safeguarding Officer, and/or the General Secretaries of the three denominations, who will provide advice and guidance to local churches in relation to safeguarding. The church will cooperate with those tasked with responding to and collating information in relation to cases giving cause for concern within the three denominations.
The church undertakes to support and encourage parents and carers as they care for their children.

Mae’n ddyletswydd ar aelodau o’r gymuned eglwysig2 i sicrhau diogelwch plant ac oedolion bregus ym mhob gweithgaredd.
Mae’r eglwys yn ymrwymo i weithredu ei pholisi a’i gweithdrefnau ynghylch amddiffyn plant ac oedolion bregus.
Mae’r eglwys yn ymrwymo i gydymffurfio â gofynion statudol ynghylch dewis a phenodi unigolion i wneud gwaith cyflogedig neu wirfoddol.
Mae’r eglwys yn ymrwymo i ddarparu system lle bydd y rheini sy’n gofalu am blant, pobl ifanc ac oedolion bregus yn derbyn hyfforddiant a chymorth.
Mae’r eglwys yn ymrwymo i adnabod sefyllfaoedd lle gallai plant a phobl ifanc ac oedolion bregus gael eu niweidio yn ystod gweithgareddau’r eglwys.
Mae’r eglwys yn ymrwymo i herio unrhyw gamddefnydd o awdurdod gan unigolyn.
Mae’r eglwys yn ymrwymo i wrando ar blant ac oedolion bregus ac ymateb yn sensitif ac yn unol â’i pholisi a chanllawiau.
Mae’r eglwys yn ymrwymo i ymateb ar unwaith pan dynnir ei sylw at amheuaeth o gam-drin, ac i gydweithredu â’r Awdurdod Lleol neu’r Heddlu os bydd ymchwiliad i’r mater. Hefyd, mae’n ymrwymo i rannu gwybodaeth yn gyfrifol er mwyn hwyluso ymchwiliad effeithiol.
Mae’r eglwys yn ymrwymo i roi gofal bugeiliol i’r rheini sy’n cael eu cam-drin neu eu cyfeirio at ofal bugeiliol.
Mae’r eglwys yn ymrwymo i roi gofal bugeiliol i droseddwyr neu bobl a amheuir o fod yn droseddwyr, neu eu cyfeirio at ofal bugeiliol.
Mae’r eglwys yn ymrwymo i weithio gyda Swyddog Hyfforddiant a Diogelu
y Panel, a/neu Ysgrifenyddion Cyffredinol y tri enwad, a fydd yn rhoi cyngor ac arweiniad i eglwysi lleol ynghylch diogelu ac amddiffyn plant. Bydd yr eglwys yn cydweithredu â’r rheini sy’n cael y dasg o ymateb i achosion sy’n destun pryder a chasglu gwybodaeth yn eu cylch, o fewn y tri enwad.
 Mae’r eglwys yn ymrwymo i gefnogi ac annog rhieni a gofalwyr wrth iddynt ofalu am eu plant.
